The valley which meanders through the Trelusback
conservation area contains a stream, ponds and other water
features containing large numbers of voles, shrews and
amphibians. These areas are rich in food for snakes and other
predators.
Compost heaps have been added in sunny, sheltered spots to
provide suitable egg-laying places for Grass Snakes.
The Charity can therefore provide a home for reptiles which
need to be relocated and we would particularly welcome
Grass Snakes, Slow Worms and Lizards.
